Gia’s Birthday!

March 15th – My daughter turned 2 years old! it’s absolutely crazy that she is already 2, she is growing up way too quick. We were joined by her cousins and family for pizza and fattening cupcakes!

Arizona Renaissance Festival!

Spent our Sunday out at the Ren Fest seeing all the various crazies and the cleavage that should be kept hidden. Close to 80 degrees, Gold Canyon made for a nice little trip down weirdo-lane, but there must be something to the place, it has us coming back year after year.

Back in the swing of things

It’s been a really tough week, with sick kids, sick me and a lot ofĀ crazinessĀ at work. Today I had a chance to break my streak of half-assedĀ pictures.

I have been really trying to learn how to get water drop isolation, so I read up on some techniques from some other the fellow contributors onĀ http://photography-on-the.net/forum/Ā –

Camera Settings –

On tripod, set for 2 sec. exposure, 100 ISO, f/8.0. Shot with Canon T2i / 50MM 1.8 mkII

Setup Information

Remote Flash bounced off the back wall; I use these dresser drawer inserts that were to an old IKEA dresser that went defunct, they are a pale blue but clip like a pure white with a direct flash, or with continuous light, they can produce a nice neutral blue…look at me..Ā re-purposingĀ things :0

here is the outcome:

This came strait off the camera. Hope you have the time to mess around and find your own creativity!

March is here!!!

Ok, crazy times are ahead. Gianna turns 2 and Dominic turns 4 this month…That means Joint Birthday Party!!!! (gotta take advantage while they’re young)

Rolling strong on the 365 project – bought a ring light for 20 bucks on amazon, that should keep me interested for a bit. My goal is to do a film project as well that I will post when done; nevertheless, follow along and enjoy!

March!

MAR 1 - This tree is right in front of our house and sheds on my car daily...It is a pain to trim and I hate it

February is almost to a close!!! This year is already flying by…

My predictions for March:

1. I will be very busy, half assed shots will ensue

2. The kids birthday party will be chaos and their gift will be yet another overboard spending spree by their mother

3. 85 degrees – hoping we get there and stay there!

Follow along and enjoy!

Past few of the 365: February Gallery

FEB 28 – Sunsets are awesome, All I need is a beach, in the meantime the desert will have to suffice

FEB 27 – The wife’s updated ring…its like her finger is driving a used honda…

FEB 26 – Little toy I found in our yard…Little guy looks all tough and sour

Birthday party coming soon…

Feb 25 – Took the kids to downtown PHX today to get some pics for their birthday card invites. Gotta do joint parties while they are young enough not to care so much!!!

FEB 25 - My little buddies, preview of their birthday party card

A little late, but you gotta start somewhere!

So, I am approaching day 56 of 366 in the my365 project I am taking underway. So far things are a bitĀ repetitiveĀ but still having fun.

I am starting a blog to make it easier for me to post and ask/beg/plead for attention and getting some hard earned traffic to the ol’ website.

With that being said, I will be posting my daily shots here and also to the monthly pages so you can see the boredom latent moments I have decided to memorialize with my camera!

Here is what we have so far:
